Ross Nazareth is  Moto Forensic

Born and raised in Calgary, Ross applies evidence-based forensic analysis to motorcycle collisions across Canada, drawing on formal education in science and engineering. He has held a motorcycle licence for 23 years and brings 20 years of experience in relevant positions of authority, including 11 years (2015 - 2025 inclusive) as a licenced motorcycle instructor certified by the Government of Alberta. Ross is dedicated to continuous education and increasing operator proficiency.

Ross graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. in Geology and is a Professional Geologist. During his time at the University of Calgary, he founded the University of Calgary Motorcycle Club and served as its president. At the University of Calgary, he served as a science laboratory teaching assistant, instructing students in the scientific method for empirical examination. Most recently, he completed a Master’s degree in engineering and business at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, specialized in clean energy. He is skilled at explaining complex topics in simple, easy-to-understand language and has a keen understanding of his audience and how to reach them.

During his tenure as a motorcycle instructor, Ross delivered thousands of public presentations on motorcycle operation and safety, addressing protective equipment, human factors, maintenance, repairs, evasive manoeuvres, and collision avoidance. He instructed over 2,000 students on how to ride and safely operate motorcycles on public roads, primarily through Canada’s most widely recognized novice motorcycle rider training course.

Ross was among the exceptionally rare instructors who taught not only typical two-wheeled motorcycles, but also three-wheeled Can-Am® Spyder® models and mopeds. He taught both the classroom and practical components of motorcycle riding lessons, and he also taught an advanced course for experienced motorcyclists.

During his tenure as a motorcycle instructor and as a motorcyclist on public roads, Ross observed and evaluated hundreds of motorcycle collisions and accidents. He provided assessments of these incidents to operators, including the chain of events that led to the outcome and practical feedback on how to prevent future collisions.

Ross had the distinct pleasure of teaching motorcycle operation to many Calgary Police Service officers training to become motorcycle police officers. An orthopedic trauma surgeon, a helicopter pilot, a paramedic, teachers, lawyers, engineers, nurses, executives, entertainers, musicians, naturalists, and motorcycle dealership employees were among the over 2,000 motorcycle enthusiasts who benefitted from Ross’s instruction.

Ross spent two seasons competitively racing cars at Race City Motorsports Park, where he also briefly raced motorcycles on the quarter-mile drag strip. Since then, he has slowed down considerably and often restores vintage motorcycles.
